Bruno Associates Secures Rutherford $43,500 for Phase 2 of WWI Monument Restoration
Funded through the Bergen County Historic Preservation Trust Fund
Bruno Associates assisted the Borough of Rutherford in securing an Open Space grant in the amount of $43,500 for restoration of the borough’s historic World War I Monument. The award will be used for the monument’s beautification and to improve the area’s nighttime visibility and safety with new lighting fixtures. The monument will go through extensive cleaning so that the engraved names of the WWI soldiers on the monument are legible for visitors to read.
The approved estimated budget of this phase is at $87,000, with 50% match from the municipality. The project’s architect of record is Sandeep Sikka,
