Bruno Associates Secures $24,924 for the Borough of Rutherford’s Food, Tire and Public Space Bonus Recycling Grant Program

Funded by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)

June 8, 2015– Bruno Associates requested funding from NJDEP’s Food, Tire and Public Space Bonus Recycling Grant Program and was awarded $24,924 for the Borough of Rutherford. The Borough of Rutherford plans to implement a total of 79 recycling containers, 57 of which will go directly towards Memorial Park alone because it has 225,000 visitors each year. These containers will be installed at Memorial Park, Tamblyn Field, Walls Field, Van Winkle Park, Sunset Park, Mountainside Park, Rutherford Waterfront Park and the Lincoln Woods. The Borough of Rutherford anticipates with these added recycling containers, in total they will generate 127.4 tons of recycled material annually.
