Bruno Associates Secures $11,000 for Berkeley Township’s Food, Tire and Public Spaces Bonus Recycling Grant Program

Funded by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)

June 22, 2015– Bruno Associates requested funding from NJDEP’s Food, Tire and Public Spaces Bonus Recycling Grant Program and was awarded $11,000 for the Township of Berkeley. Berkeley Township will install 50 recycling containers throughout Leiter Field, Dudley Park, Veteran’s Park and Toms River Park. Additionally, the funds will assist with continuing a Tire Recycling Program in Lakewood and developing their food waste awareness campaign by advising restaurant owners and local food handlers about proper routines for food waste disposal. The Township of Berkeley predicts over 50 tons of recycled materials will be generated annually.
