Bruno Associates Secures $3.4M to Distribute for Passaic County Park Improvements

Funded by the Passaic County Board of Freeholders

August 14, 2015– Bruno Associates assisted Passaic County in securing a grant totaling $3.4M to be distributed for improvements on parks, playgrounds and memorials. The freeholders approved this award on the recommendation of the Open Space and Farmland Preservation Trust committee. Fourteen municipalities are receiving aid from this funding cycle. The largest award will put $650,000 towards improving the Third Veterans Memorial Park in Passaic. $150,00 will go to the City of Paterson for renovations for the Veterans Council, making it ADA compliant. In addition to the Paterson Veterans Council, the City will be awarded $99,766 to construct a Civil War monument. In addition to the improvements being made to spaces honoring our veterans, grants from Passaic County will go towards public parks, Little League fields, the Morris Canal Greenway and other recreational and community building projects.
