Funded by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)
Summer 2015— Bruno Associates requested funding from the NDJEP Green Acres Program and was awarded $1,100,000 in grants for Borth Bergen Township’s 76th Street Little League field upgrades. The Green Acres Program administers funds to local governments and nonprofit land trusts to obtain open space and develop parks throughout the state. These projects that are approved by the Garden State Preservation Trust (GSPT) sets aside millions to provide funds for developing parks and recreational facilities, local land acquisition projects, preserving land and protecting the environment along with its wildlife. North Bergen Township plans to use its awarded funds to renovate the facilities at the 76th Street Park.
